Biography:

Sumer have been together since October 2010 pushing their unique brand of post-metal. They have played at several renowned venues already across the South East and London including The Underworld, The Barfly and Hard Rock Cafe and have recently signed to London independent Wild Heart Records, where they are currently recording their debut EP with producer Sean Douglas (Django Django, The Franklys, Gravelrash) at the legendary Fish Factory Studios. In 2012 Sumer won the UK final for the Hard Rock Rising contest by unanimous vote from the industry judges, including Starsailor frontman, James Walsh and The Guillemots frontman, Fyfe Dangerfield.

Likened to a heavy Radiohead circa OK Computer, Karnivool and Tool to name but a few discernible sounds. They hold an easy integrity to their music and present themselves with an utterly passionate approach to live shows, losing themselves in the music.

Taikonaut is the name of the Band. there are 4 of them. They play alt rock
Bio
Taikonaut are an exciting 4 piece heavy art rock band from south london, Formed by driven pro musicians bored of the shiny production of the pop and rock scene. Taikonaut play skilled, raw, thinking man's rock music.

Taikonaut are the definition of the DIY outfit, writing, producing, mastering and distributing all their own material, with emphasis on songwriting and artistic freedom.Hooks, Riffs, groves that move you and the occasional musical outburst typify this new band of experienced hands.

The band members have toured extensively through england, Europe and Canada, and cut their teeth working in Teaching and recording studios in and around London. Brought together by a shared desire for a back to basics approach to live music, Taikonaut fondly evoke an old school ethos with some new school Ideas.

With ‘glorious folk-tinged stadium anthems’ (Record of The day) Flight Brigade is the coming together of two families. Lead singer Oliver Baines grew up on a farm in Ohio, before moving to the UK, where he first met fellow band member Miriam (now his wife) when they were kids. Her sister Dorry plays violin and joins Miriam in harmonies, the girls having been steeped in the 70′s British folk scene, thanks to their musician parents.

‘full of youth, hope, and nostalgia for a time they shouldn't be able to remember, it's an infectious mix’
TOM ALLEN, CBC RADIO 2

BBC 6 Music's Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson plus Radio 2's Bob Harris and Janice Long have all championed the band to date as has Tom Allen on Canada's CBC Radio 2. The band have supported Grouplove, Dry The River, Stornoway, King Charles and Seth Lakeman and have played main stages at Hop Farm & Blissfields festivals, opening for Maximo Park and Primal Scream. The band were commissioned to compose the music for an ITV documentary about Haiti as well as the Unicef World Cup campaign and are now working towards a 2015 release of their debut LP with producer Gavin Monaghan (Kings of Leon, The Editors).

With his brand new four track EP ‘Circles’ artist/producer Seb Stone is setting his sites upon a busy live schedule, both with his band and with a solo acoustic set for the remainder of 2013 leading into a fresh 2014. ‘Circles’ crosses many different genres with the lead track having a cinematic and romantic feel and songs such as ‘Individual’ highlight a more rap/urban pop vein. The last two tracks on the EP cover rock and reggae in ‘Final Fantasy’ and a mash up of rnb/pop and indie in ‘Name’.
Born in London to an artistic Trinidadian/English family (Seb’s roots are Trinidadian, English, Indian, Chinese and Irish), Seb was raised around music. His mother and uncle formed the duo Mac & Katie Kissoon, while his father was in the duo R&J Stone. After the duo his mother went on to record and tour/perform with the likes of Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Roger Waters, Robbie Williams, George Michael and Jamiroquai. Other member’s of his family include his Uncle, actor Jeffery Kissoon and step-brother Rhashan Stone.

Seb engineers and produces all of his music out of his studio in West London, playing all drums, percussion, guitar, bass, and piano, on top of his song writing and vocal work. Entirely self taught and self managed, Seb also works as a producer for other unsigned artists out of SKP Studios in West London. He’s also worked as a session vocalist for Guy Chambers.

Seb released two four track EP’s in 2012 ‘Human’ and ‘Ordinary You’ which he is currently performing live. Both EP’s received positive press and reviews across the internet on sites such as Lime magazine and The Songwriters Magazine.

With influences ranging from Ben Harper, Jamiroquai, Sly & the Family Stone, Stephen Simmonds, T-Rex and Tom Petty, Seb is getting deeper into his writing and production and is currently working on new songs for 2014.
